Dear Aiman,

The aim why i wrote this letter is to share with you about depression.Do you know what depression is it?Depression is the common cold of mental disorders and most people will be affected by depression in their lives either directly or indirectly trough a friend or family member. So have you ever felt depression?
There are a lot of types of depression and it is different among stage of ages and gender. One types of depression is major depression that is the most common type of a depressive disorder is characterized by a combination of symptoms that interfere with the ability to work, study, sleep, eat, and enjoy once pleasure activities. Then a less severe type of depression is dysthymia that involves long-term,chronic symptoms that do not disable but keep one from functioning well of from feeling good. Many people with dysthymia also experience major depressive episodes at some time in their lives.Next another type of depressive disorder is bipolar disorder or also called manic-depressive illness. This type of depression is characterized by cycling mood changes that divided into two, severe highs (mania) and lows (depression).Sometimes the mood switches are dramatic and rapid but most are gradual. When the person are in depressed cycle they can have any or all of the symptoms of a depressive order. When they are in manic cycle, they may be overactive, over talkative, and have a great deal of energy.Mania often affects thinking, judgment, and social behavior in ways that caused serious problems and embarrassment.Mania left untreated may worsen to a psychotic state.
Then i am going to tell you about the symptoms of depression and mania that are totally different. The symptoms of depression are persistent sad, anxious or empty mood. Then they always feeling hopeless, worthlessness, helplessness or even feeling of guilty. Then they will loss of interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities that were enjoyed before for them.Next they also will always feel fatigue, being "slowed down" and decreased in energy. They also will feel difficult in concentrating, remembering or even making decisions. The most dangerous symptom is when they are thinking about death or suicide and they attempts to do it.Meanwhile, the symptoms of mania are abnormal or excessive elation, unusual irritability, decreased need for sleep, grandiose notions, increased talking, racing thoughts, increased sexual desire, markedly increased energy and poor judgment.
There are also a lot of ways that you can do in order to threat depression on our daily lives. One of them is by talking to someone that you trust the most about your problems.Just tell them everything and also asked for their opinion or help in order for you to solve your problems. Those who are listening to them have to give a full of attention because it can make them feel better and stronger to face with their problems. Then you also can share your problems trough writing. You can choose either you want to write it on your diary, journal, blog or even in a piece of paper.Next,if you really need someone that totally can help in facing with depression, you can meet any psychoterapist. You can consult with them by telling them about your problems and how do you feel every time you think about the problems that you are facing off. Then you also can take any medicine that are recommended by your doctor. It is so important to consult with your doctor first before taking any medicine, supplement or vitamins.
